Subject: Seattle #TeslaTakedown – Follow-up

Electrify Expo Team,

We’re the local organizers of #TeslaTakedown. Given your failure to respond to the national #TeslaTakedown letter sent on June 13th, we want to let you know that we’ll be encouraging our supporters and allies to attend the Seattle Electrify Expo on July 12–13 to protest Tesla’s presence.

Since February, we’ve led extremely successful sustained protests against Tesla that have garnered coverage from nearly every major local news outlet, as well as national news shows such as MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show. Thousands of people have attended our weekly protests over the past four months and we currently stage twelve weekly demonstrations across the Puget Sound to spotlight Elon Musk’s dangerous influence on national infrastructure and his global promotion of fascist ideologies.

If Electrify Expo seeks to promote a sustainable electrified future in a democratic society, then Musk and Tesla have no place in it. Our next step is to rally our committed protest partners and expand the fight by taking action at the upcoming Electrify Expo Seattle stop.

We urge you again to disinvite Tesla from the Electrify Expo. If you do not, expect a public response to your event’s promotion of a company run by a dangerous ideologue who promotes fascism worldwide and who has substantially weakened the health, science, and safety infrastructure of our nation.

As we’re sure you’re aware, the #TeslaTakedown movement is grassroots and worldwide. This won’t be the last time that Electrify Expo is asked to account for its promotion of Elon Musk.
